Highlights of summer!!!
Looking back at all these pictures, it seems that we had an action-packed summer. However, we spent the majority of our time relaxing and swimming and playing, most of which didn't get photographed. We expanded our vegetable garden to include a little flower area that Aidan and Ashley and the butterflies loved! We swam at my parents pool ALOT! Had a couple of cookouts and enjoyed our friends and family. Of our adventures pictured below we did squeeze in our annual trip to Lake Cumberland with our good friends from Ohio, the Tomsic family, the kids took gymnastics (which was a great summer sport to avoid the heat), we went to the Abraham Lincoln festival, horseback riding, the Cincy aquarium, the Star Wars preview, a tour of Fort Boonesborough, the Children's Museum and Ashley learned to ride "her" Spiderman bike! Whew. What a ton of FUN!!!

Myrtle Beach
Early in June we embarked on a whirlwind vacation packed with fun and exhaustion with our friends from across the street, the Moon family. Aidan and Logan & Ashley and Robyn are all similar in age and it made for the best vacation. The kids and adults all had a blast soaking up the sun on the South Carolina shore. Myrtle beach was a perfect spot for families with tons of excitement and entertainment not to mention a beautiful beach! And for milestones.....while we were there, Aidan learned to surf/boogie board and Ashley learned to swim by herself (in the pool). It was a wonderful trip!!!

Whoa, what a summer!
I wasn't even sure my password would work anymore since it has been so long since I've posted anything. Insert embarrassment!!!! But as summer goes, we stayed busy and had LOTS of fun. On the eve of Aidan's return to school I am wondering where the time has gone???? We had lots of excitement but this year the summer just really seemed shorter.
When I return to my senses and normal routine I promise to try and post something, even if it just pictures. For now, though, I am going to hold onto Ashley one more week until she goes to preschool. I am looking forward to a little 'mama & Ashy' time! I can't believe she is old enough to go to school....my baby. Talk about time flying!!! It's all been good, though, with lots of memories!
